Egg Tart (1st Attempt & 2nd Attempt)

Egg Tart


Ingredient:


Pastry
150g Plain flour
1 tbsp Custard powder
1 tbsp milk powder
½ tbsp sugar
100g Cold butter

Filling
140g water 
60-70g sugar (update 30/7/12 - can cut down to 55g)
100g beaten egg (1 ½ large eggs or 2 medium eggs)
40g evaporated milk 
Few drops pure vanilla extract (optional)

Steps for Pastry:


Add in all above powder(Ingredient for pastry), knee the cold butter together..
Lastly, add in eggs to be dough {beat 25-30g egg (Around ½ egg)}
Wrap the dough with cling warp and put in the fridge


Steps for Filling:

  1. Heat up water and sugar till sugar dissolved. Let it cool. 
  2. Add beaten egg, evaporated milk and vanilla extract and mix well. Sieve 3 times.
  3. Use dough and can do the pastry by using egg tart mould and pour the filing into 80%of the mould.
  4. Baked at Preheat oven at 180C for 20 mins
